We do not recommend using these rail segments if you intend to use the weapon under extreme heat. The polymer used can soften and deform if exposed to over 140 Fahrenheit temperatures (the handguard would be too hot to touch comfortably) for an extended period. This is not a common scenario and in our thousands of rounds of testing we have not experienced this, but if you are mag dumping all day in an Arizona summer, we recommend you pass on this.
